Fry Box Easter Treats

We've been invited to Easter dinner by a friend who has a very large family and we always enjoy going there. I made a whole lot of sweet treats to take along for everyone and today I'll post one of those treat containers. I used all snippets of cardstock I've had for eons and just chose bright spring colors along with glittered cardstock. These two boxes have Quickcutz bottle cap die cuts behind the cute chick and bunny images. Those images are from a very old SU! set called "year round fun." I colored them with Copics and glaze pens. The tags are MFT mini tags with die-cut bunnies from a GinaMarieDesigns tiny bunny die set. I tied them on with various colors of twine.

Here are 2 more of the fry boxes done is assorted colors and patterns. I made 13 of these in total, and I'll share more of the different treat containers I made in upcoming posts.

Just for the record, I made this for the hostess because she told me she absolutely LOVES jelly beans, so this punch-board teacup is full of jelly beans for her :)

This was made with Bermuda Bay cardstock and some retired SU! designer paper. The bunny was die-cut with a Lil Inker Easter bunny and tied on with some gold twine. He's sporting a matching raspberry bow around his neck. I didn't realize it until the photo was taken that I placed the treat bag backwards in the cup! Derrrrr It's a simple fix to remove it and re-insert it correctly :) The back of the bow looks kinda cute anyway, right? LOL

I'm sharing with the Shopping our Stash SOS #346 challenge - Here comes Peter Cottontail - show us your Easter creations.

Here's a tutorial for the Teacup if anyone's interested. I also made mini teacups with this idea that I'll share later on this week.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Saturday!

Serene Scene

Here's a sympathy card made for my stash. I used SU! 1st generation and 2nd generation Upsy Daisy stamp sets with black Versamark ink, and immediately heat-embossed them with clear ep. I sponged the bottom with red, the middle with orange, and the top with yellow inks from Colorbox to create the sky. I stamped silhouette images of birds and a dragonfly with SNSS images, and added a white heat-embossed sympathy sentiment, matting the image panel with black and placing it on a vanilla card base. I added a die-cut grassy border in black along the bottom and tied a piece of vanilla ribbon from my stash for the finishing touch.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Lots of Bunnies

I had plenty of time to work on cards yesterday with the big snowstorm we had, and this is an Easter card I made with lots of snippets of dsp from Lawn Fawn's perfectly plaid paper pack. I cut all the dsp and white squares with GinaMarieDesigns stitched square dies, and then cut a bunch of little white bunnies with a GinaMarieDesigns mini bunny die set. The larger bunny was done with a GinaMarieDesigns larger bunny die, and I dotted his eyes and nose with a blue glitter pen and a pink glaze pen. The Inkadinkado sentiment was heat embossed with white ep on the deep purple cardstock base.

I'm entering this into the Snippets Playground week #322 since the entire card was made with snippets. I'm happy to have another Easter card in my stash because that holiday is only a little over a week away! That came up really fast this year!

In spite of the big snowstorm yesterday, the sun is shining brightly today and melting the snow. We never did get the heavy winds they predicted, so we didn't lose power in this storm - thank goodness! We did get over a foot of snow though, so I'll be seeing it on the ground for a while :)

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you're doing!

Twofer #3 - Flowers

I finally got my act together and made my cards for Darnell's Twofer #3 - which is flowers. I made 2 cards using a floral stamp from a SU! Live Your Dream stamp set.

For the Mother's Day card I started with a pastel pink card base and die-cut the larger oval along with a border using a MS arched lattice punch. The white border was done with a SU! lacy chain punch. The background was stamped randomly with Versamark and the floral stamp, then embossed with white ep, and sponged with Spun Sugar distress ink. The ovals were cut with Gina Marie Designs stitched ovals and the sentiment is from Verve. For the final touch, I added some pink Nuvo drops.

This birthday make began with a Bazzill pastel blue background which I embossed with a WeRMemory Keepers next level Gemstone ef. I grabbed a snippet of green paper lying on my table and punched one side with a MS doily punch. I stamped 3 squares with the floral stamp by coloring it with SU! markers before stamping, then die-cut them with a GMD stitched square die. I matted each square with a snippet of pastel green cardstock and placed them evenly on the green panel. I tied some SU! bashful blue ribbon into a knot and added a SU! white heat-embossed sentiment which I attached with a glue dot under the knot. For the final touch, I added some tiny blue gemstones to the flower centers that I got from Pizzazz Aplenty.

There you have my two-fer for March and I sure could use some fresh flowers!

This is what I see when I look out my front door today.........and it's not supposed to stop snowing until around 11 PM. A few vehicles ventured up the road, but you can see that at nearly 3PM we still haven't seen the plow open up our road. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that we don't lose power this time around. They're calling for 1-3" to fall every hour this afternoon and we already have about 6 inches on the ground. Predictions are for accumulations around 1 foot (or more!)

How's that for the first day of spring????

Thanks for stopping by and I hope it's warm where you are!!

TMS #445

Another Tuesday has rolled around and it's time for the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #445. This week we have a sketch from Janice which is easy and fun to work with!

I dug into my stash for this piece of lacy lavender dsp and used it for the background after cutting it with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle. I die-cut a MFT stitched oval and placed a die-cut Gina Marie Designs Mother's day greeting. The lavender "happy" is an Echo Park Easter die-cut and I used a snippet of coordinating lavender paper. The prima flower I've had for eons and the center was filled with stamens that came with the flowers. 3 gemstones on the upper right side finished this card.

Be sure to check the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog to see the prize you can win for this week's challenge. While you're there, be sure to check my DT members creations as well. You'll be glad you did :)

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Tuesday!

Birthday Bouquet

I recently made this for a friend who celebrated her 79th birthday. I used daffodil and pear pizzazz cardstock/dsp along with a heat-embossed gold sentiment from SU!'s beautiful bouquet stamp set. I used stitched postage stamp dies for the frames, along with framelit dies from a SU! bouquet bunch set to create the bouquet, stems, and bow. The big gemstone was from my stash and I added a few clear gemstones for a little sparkle. For the finishing touch, I added a dab of liquid pearls to the centers of the flowers in the bouquet.

I'm sharing this with the Dies R Us challenge #93 - "frame it."

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great weekend!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It's the day to wear green and everyone can be Irish today!
This card was made with a pre-colored digital print by Diane's Daydream Designs, and I added a greeting on the vase with a SU! teeny tiny wishes sentiment as well as another tiny sentiment "for you" on the card. The embossing was done with an older Spellbinders M-Bossability folder and I used dark and light green cardstock of course.

Have a happy and safe St. Patrick's day everyone and may you all have good luck on this Irish day of celebration!

A Pooch Wearing the Green

I found this adorable print (artist unknown) on Pinterest and printed it out to make a St. Patrick's Day card. That puppy is just too cute! I die-cut the print with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle and matted it with celery green, then die-cut what I THINK is an artichoke green card base with another stitched rectangle die. The medallion was also a digital print (no name) that had a shamrock in the center with a smiley face. I covered up the smiley face with a MFT stitched circle die-cut in matching celery and also die-cut the digital image with a larger stitched circle die, placing a Taylored Expressions die-cut shamrock in the center. I die-cut a matching scalloped circle with a SB die to mat it and called this one done.

Easter Card

Today I have a quick and easy card made with a digital bunny image and a stitched circle die. The background paper is from a very old paper stack with a missing cover, so I don't know who makes it. The Happy Easter sentiment was done with an Echo Park die from snippets of bright pink and turquoise blue. I added a few punched mini flowers and dotted them with clear Nuvo drops and added some glossy accents to the pads and ears of the bunny for a little shine.

I'm entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge which is an Easter Inspired challenge with a mood board.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Easter Bunny & Egg

I really gave my Big Shot a good workout in making this Easter card! My friend loaned me this cute and fancy Easter Egg die which I cut with turquoise and lined with some graphic 45 dsp. I went searching for some pastel coral cardstock to coordinate with it, but the only thing I found was this dark coral piece of CORE-dinations so I embossed it with a CB swiss dots ef. The lower panel was a snippet of celery green cardstock which I embossed with a SU! square lattice ef. The bunny is  a die by Lil Inker and I added a twine bow and some liquid applique fuzz for his tail - along with a tiny black gemstone for an eye. The greenery was made with an unbranded die I received as a gift from a thoughtful and generous friend, and I added a bit of darker green color with a Copic. The sentiment is a digital print from Sans Design which I colored with Copics and then matted with celery and turquoise - again using my Big Shot and some SB circle and scalloped circle dies. The final touch was adding some tiny pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty and I called this one done.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:
